We’ve been a little nomadic of late but we now have a new home in Mansfield.

Our new base will be in one of the units in the Four Seasons Shopping Centre.

The former shop, next door to Holland and Barrett, places us right at the heart of Mansfield Town Centre.

Karl Greenwood, Director of First Art, said:

This is a fantastic opportunity for First Art, right in the town centre, where we will be able to engage with many different people.

We have all sorts of plans for the space to open it up to the community.”

We hope to be running workshops and regular events, provide a space for people to meet or just drop-in, along with exhibitions and many other things.

The new space will also provide office space for the First Art team.

“We are still very much working across the four districts of Ashfield, Mansfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire but this offers us a much-need base for the team as well as a physical presence for our audience”, added Karl.

One of the first roles for the unit will to act as the Info Point for this year’s The Full Shebang in early September. After that we shall get to work setting the space up and using it to its full potential.
