Race Sign Up Information

To take part, you will need to sign up for the following races:

12.25pm    Race 1 – Big Foot
1.05pm      Race 2 – Fast Nannies
2pm           Race 3 – Wobbly Waiter
3pm           Race 4 – Sack Race

 

How do I sign up?
  • Head to the Sign Up Desk which is close to the site entrance at the Market Street / Bret Club end.
  • To ensure as many people as possible get the chance to take part and to allow for people arriving at different times, sign up times will be staggered.
  • Sign up for races 1 and 2 open at 12pm while sign up for races 3 and 4 open at 1pm.

 

  • Each race will have different ages categories: 5 – 10 (which will run twice), 11-15, 16+.
  • When you sign up you will be given a number.
  • Please arrive at the Race Meeting Point 5 mintues before the start of the race.
  • Remember to wear your number and to HAVE FUN!
  • Winners and runners-up will receive a special Clay Cross Games medal.

 

What do the races involve?

 

Big Foot

Don a pair of comically oversized feet to stomp your way to victory

Fast Nannies

Age 80 years in 60 seconds as you sprint to put together the sassiest speed-granny costume ever stitched. 

Wobbly Waiter

Can you make it to the other end without dropping or spilling glasses of water balanced on your tray?  

Sack Race

An old-skool classic. You’ve got to reach the finish line whilst jumping all the way in a sack.
