First Art Club

First Art Club is a chance for residents of Clay Cross to try out a range of art and craft based activities all for FREE and all delivered to their doorsteps.

As well as trying out different activities, the Club wants to connect local people through shared interests. The plan is two hold some First Art Club socials too, which will take place (all being well) in person following strict COVID-19 guidelines.

Contents of First Art Club kit including tote bag, newsletter and embroidery kit from Cotton Clara

All members receive a regular art activity kit, along with Club goodies.

About the Kits

The Kits feature arts and crafts with a contemporary twist, bringing old skills to new ideas.

Kits are sent out on, roughly, a bi-monthly basis and come with all the materials and instructions needed to do the activity from home.

Inside each Kit there’s also a little newsletter that features more about the art/craft that the activity focuses around along with a round-up of cultural things happening and available in Clay Cross.

Become a member

To join First Art Club you must live in Clay Cross and be aged 12+ (this is in part due to the nature of some of the activities and the funding requirements).

There are limited places but still a few left and you can sign up by emailing artclub@firstart.org.uk.

As well as the kits, all First Art Club members receive a nifty tote bag, notebook, pen and membership card when you sign up too.

Thanks to DCC

First Art Club is brought to you by First Art and made possible thanks to funding from Derbyshire County Council’s Public Health Covid-19 Fund.
