Mandala Hangings

Wednesday 7 August 2024
11am – 3pm
Part of Inspire’s Little Creatives programme with artist Dawn Taylor

FREE and Drop-in (no need to book)
Suitable for ages 4+

In this session, Little Creatives artist Dawn Taylor will show you how to make a multicoloured mandala on coloured card using stencils and large felts/bingo dobbers and sponge paint pens. You’ll then finish off your hanging with colourful ribbons to then hang up at home in pride of place.

What are mandalas?

Mandala’s are circular, geometric designs representing the universe in Hindu and Buddhist cultures. This activity takes inspiration from Teabreak by Trigger which is one of the shows at this year’s The Full Shebang Festival, and features traditional Indian dancing.

All kids need to bring their adults, and must be accompanied at all times.

This activity is taking place along side the marble-run making as part of the Mini Shebang.  Click here to find out more about the marble-run making.

Part of The Mini Shebang, a programme of FREE hands-on family fun in the lead up to The Full Shebang Festival taking place on Sat 7 September.
