Animal Puppets

Join HandMade Theatre to have a go at creating your own unique animal puppet to take home, using simple material and craft skills.

Plus, there’s the chance to meet George, a lovable puppet cat.

Suitable for ages approx. 3-10 but parents and grandparents come and have a go too!

Perform on the Cardboard TV

Lempen Puppet Theatre will be coming along with their marvellous Eggsbox challenge and Cardboard TV.

There’ll be egg boxes, cereal boxes, paper tape and string to use but if there’s something that inspires you, feel free to bring it along.

Suitable for ages 7+ but adults can stay and make too and help younger siblings.

More fun coming soon at The Full Shebang

HandMade Theatre’s workshop is inspired by their brand-new show Tell Me a Story, which shares memories of childhood and seeks to connect different generations. Come and see it for yourself at The Full Shebang on 2 September in Mansfield town centre.

Lempen Puppet Theatre will also be joining the line-up at The Full Shebang with Cardboard Carnival – a delightful puppet show inspired by the music of “Carnival of the Animals” by Camille Saint-Saëns. A show full of puppet possibility and a whole lot of cardboard.

A hand puppet tortoise, made of cardboard, and dressed in a pink tutu, is operated by a puppeteer, out of sight.
