Shirebrook Get Together

Shirebrook Get Together

A stylised graphic of a group of houses with tress and a sun in reds, oranges, greens and yellows.

Shirebrook Get Together is, as the names suggests, about bringing people together.

Coming together to share in different things to help build connections to improve wellbeing, develop skills and confidence, reduce isolation and feel more part of the local community.

Members help design the Get Togethers so they’re doing what they want to do. And there’s usually some grub involved too.

It’s free to become a member and all sessions are free to attend too. If getting to and from sessions is a problem, we may be able to support.

Previous sessions have included wreath making, a cabaret lunch,  painting, tea dances, a visit to the panto and much more.

How do I find out more or become a member?

We’re currerntly in the midst of planning the upcoming Get Together’s for autumn-winter 206/27. If you’d like more information or to come along, please get in touch by emailing info@firstart.org.uk or by calling or texting 07442 339361.

Shirebrook Get Together started as part of a Creative Lives Know Your Neighbourhood Project funded by UK Government and Arts Council England in 2024-2025.
