Chapter One – Everybody’s Home

Everybody’s Home is a specially put together kit, packed full of fun things to do and resources that are being sent out free of charge to those living in Ashfield, Mansfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.

The packs also provide vital contact and service information about Coronavirus (Covid-19), especially for people in communities who may be completely isolated or not able to access this information online.

So, what’s in the Kit?

Everything but the kitchen sink! Well, not quite but we’ve got a good plenty of things to provide some entertainment and light relief during this lockdown period.

We’ve tried to create a package that caters for all ages. Activities have been designed with both single households and those with more than one in mind. Some activities you might need to take in turn but there’s plenty to share out too.

The bumper kit includes activities and resources to provide light relief during the lockdown

Inside you’ll find a bumper Activity Pack that has all sorts, ranging from Boredom Bingo, Lockdown Scavenger Hunt, and Head to Head – a homespun version of top trumps – to the Random Puppet Theatre, Create Your Own Comic, and a letter writing kit, part of which includes a special letter for people to write to key workers that may form part of a larger scale event later in the Festival.

There’s also a specially commissioned colouring book, capturing some of the lighter moments that have become familiar during the pandemic, an Isolation Selfie Frame, a time capsule to complete, and lots more. We’ve included resources and materials for some of these activities too.

There’s also a handy booklet with Coronavirus advice, support and information for each district.

How do I get one?

We’ve had a stonking response to the Everybody’s Home Kit so for the moment we’ve closed sign ups to allow us to process those requests. If you live in Ashfield, Mansfield, Bolsover or North East Derbyshire and have already requested one, we’ll be getting these out as soon as we can. Stocks are limited so we’re sorry if we can get one out to everyone.

Working with various partners, we will also be distributing Kits in certain areas of each of the four districts through schools, food banks and similar. If you haven’t managed to sign up here then it’s still possible you could receive a Kit through this means.
