from Half a String

Join an online celebration of puppetry, folk and earthy D&B.

A three-part mini series, Breathe follows the adventures of a young seedling tree puppet, lured to leave the forest by a strangely empty world.

The journey will play out over an episode-a-day during Breathe Weekend  11 -13 June 2020.

Half a String‘s new show features beautiful puppets handcrafted and performed by Peter Morton (he’s a pretty nifty puppet designer) while modern folk singer-songwriter Avi Simmons and drum & bass artist Suitman Jungle will provide live music to accompany the puppet adventuring through uncharted terrain.

To accompany the mini-series, there will be a hands-on workshop for people to create their very own “table-top” tree puppet, together with a short masterclass on how to use it.

Mini-series suitable for ages 3+, workshop suitable for ages 8-11 although younger ones can also take part with a bit of extra grown up help.
