Why Friends of Bellamy  were nominated

Friends of Bellamy is a group of residents from the Bellamy Road estate in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. All volunteering their time, the group have come together help the estate.

Towards the end of 2020, after a really tough year for so many people including those living on Bellamy Road, the Friends raised money through donations to enable Christmas lights to go up around the estate. They created ‘Light Up Bellamy’, encouraging folk to decorate their gardens and homes for a mass light switch on.

We are really proud of our community and want to make it a better place for all the residents that live on Bellamy, especially the younger ones.
