Why Gavin was nominated

Furloughed from his job, Gavin decided to train up and volunteer for the Nottinghamshire Blood Bike Team. Throughout the pandemic, Gavin has delivered blood, organs and plasma to hospitals. This service will have saved lives and Gavin is extremely proud to be part of this.

I am proud to have helped transport Covid tests, blood samples, emergency blood and even human milk for premature babies around the county, all as a free service to the NHS…I feel we have pulled together in these tough times, and what I do is only the tip of the iceberg.
