With Thomas Daniel Byrne

Learn how to make your very own ‘Crankie’ Theatre in this family workshop.

A ‘Crankie’ is a special storytelling device that uses a paper scroll that has been decorated with drawings to tell a terrific tale. Simply turn the spool and watch as your story comes to life right before your eyes. Throughout this workshop you’ll learn about this history of crankie theatre, decorate a crankie box, and create your own story scroll to take home and share with your friends and family.

All FREE and drop-in, no need to book.

Suitable for ages 4+

In the Little Creatives corner…

Join us at this free, drop-in session to make little rockets out of cardboard and other materials, inspired by the Full Shebang show Blast Off. A rocket with tentacles, or maybe a tree shaped rocket. Let your imagination roam free and have fun with your creations! Led by Edwina Kung, one of Inspire’s artist programme, Little Creatives.

All activities are FREE and drop-in. Don’t forget, all kids need to bring their adults and must be accompanied at all times.

This event is part of the Mini Shebang, brought to you by First Art with Four Seasons Shopping Centre’s BClub, and Inspire. Every Wednesday in August, The Mini Shebang offers all kinds of FREE hands-on fun to get you in the festival spirit in run-up to The Full Shebang Festival (7 Sept).
