Writing Zoom with a Brew
Writing Zoom with a Brew is back!
Please note that this course is NOW FULLY BOOKED
An online writing project for North Nottinghamshire and North Derbyshire hosted by Writing East Midlands in partnership with First Art.
A cosy, online writing room
These FREE workshops are for anyone aged 55+ who would like to explore ideas, write them down and share these with others in a friendly group. Whether you have writing experience or not, it doesn’t matter – we’re open to all.
You provide the brew and we’ll provide everything else by creating an inspiring, fun and caring environment to bounce stories and ideas off each other.
Led by local writers
Join local writers Cathy Grindrod and Lizzie Dunford who will help you every step of the way by setting simple, fun writing tasks each week.
You’ll be exploring questions such as ‘how has 2021 started for us?’, ‘has 2020 changed our perspective?’, ‘what is important for us at the moment?’, ‘what are our hopes for the future?’ along with many others.
How to take part
The course is now fully booked but if you’re still interested and would like to be added to the waiting list, please drop us a line by email.
You can also find out about future and similar opportunities by signing up to our mailing list.
About the project
Writing Zoom with a Bew is part of the Elder Tree project, a three-year, region-wide residency programme, which is empowering groups of people aged 55 and over to create new work stimulated by museums, archives, heritage spaces, and professional writers.
Led by Writing East Midlands, the Elder Tree project is being delivered by a consortium which includes Creative People and Places, First Art and Made in Corby, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, and Museum Development East Midlands, working with non-arts focussed organisations Age UK, Orders of St John Care Trust and University of the Third Age.
